Nita June Frink

Nita Jane (Grimm) Frink, 99, of Danville, Pennsylvania and formerly of Phillipsburg, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 in Danville.

Born on April 17, 1926 in Richland Center, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late John Mayfield and Glennie Pearl (Swancutt) Grim.

June attended and graduated from Bethlehem Central School in Delmar, New York. She earned a B. S. in Nursing from Syracuse University and her M. S. degree in Nursing Education from Columbia University. She was a dedicated nursing instructor.

June taught for many years at Easton Hospital School of Nursing and continued at Northampton Community College until her retirement.

She lived life to the fullest, bicycling in Mexico and Europe., exploring Alaska and camping across the United States visiting many natural wonders.

She was an active member of the Pilgrim Presbyterian Church in Phillipsburg for many years. She believed in the Golden Rule and the Ten Commandments. Her enduring sense of humor and optimistic outlook endeared her to family and friends and students. She will be missed.

June loved and was loved by three good men: Charles Christoph, Peter Gyarmaty and Neil Frink who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Gerald Mervin Grim and John Stuart Grim and by a nephew John Gilbert Grim. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews including Gail Stuart, Steven Grim, Polly Grimm, Charles Grim, Peter Grim, Priscilla Lagano, Shelley Covington and Bessie Neubauer and by a step daughter, Bonnie Gyarmaty.

The family is planning a spring memorial service followed by interment in the Wurtemburg Cemetery at Rhinebeck, New York.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 113 Bloom Road, Danville Pennsylvania 17821.
