Nancy Ann Mensch

Nancy Ann Mensch, age 75, 2502 Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg, passed away at her home at 2:55 p. m. Sunday, December 17, 2017, surrounded by her loving family,  after a lengthy struggle with cancer.

Born on March 31, 1942 in Espy, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Margaret (Long) Funk. She was a 1960 graduate of Central Columbia High School.

During Nancy's working years, she was employed as a secretary by the Columbia County Superintendent of Schools; Dr. Henry Hood, M.D. at Geisinger; Dr. Richard Delp, M.D.; Dr. Ernest Campbell, M.D.; Dr. Clark Corson, M.D.; and finally for Columbia Montour Home Health from which she retired in 2003.

She was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church, Espy. During her retirement years, she and her husband John enjoyed traveling to many countries. She loved traveling, reading, puzzles and mostly her grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her husband, John P. Mensch, with whom she celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on October 7, 2017; two sons: Jonathan V. Mensch, and his wife Melinda and Matthew C. Mensch, all of Bloomsburg; a granddaughter, Margo Mensch; a grandson, Mason Mensch; a brother, Larry L. Funk, Espy; and a sister, Barbara J., wife of Roger Robinholt, Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Rev. Gordon E. Smith officiating. Interment in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10-11 a. m.
