Nancy T. (Rossi) McCaffery, age 87, of Litterer Road, Danville, passed away on Monday June 29, 2026 at the Oak Glen Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Lewisburg.
Born on July 17, 1938 in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Frank S. and Violetta (Mack) Rossi. She was a resident of the Danville area since 1960. She was a 1956 graduate of West Hazleton High School. Nancy also graduated from the Geisinger School of Nursing in 1959.
Nancy worked as a pediatric registered nurse at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville for 10 years. She later worked at Danville State Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1989.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Danville.
Nancy loved crocheting, knitting, and reading books. She also enjoyed camping and traveling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joanne B. Rossi.
Surviving is her husband, Edward W. McCaffery, Jr.; son, Bryan E. McCaffery, of Milton; daughter, Christine A. McCaffery, of Danville; daughter, Carolyn M. West, of Milton; seven grandchildren: Kaity, wife of Anthony Paletta, Emily, wife of Isaac Weston, Connor McCaffery, Morgan McCaffery, Macy McCaffery, James Shull, and his wife Amanda, and Justin Weatherill; three great-grandchildren: Cayden, Adaline, and Emmett; and a brother, Frank Rossi, and his companion Dottie, of Drums.
Graveside services will be held on Friday July 3, 2026 at 10 a.m. in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Danville, with her pastor Rev. Kenneth Roth, officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Rd., Danville.
