Myron H. Anderson, age 64, of Danville, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

 

Born on May 18, 1957 in Danville, Myron was the son of the late Kenneth L. and Mary J. (Bogart) Anderson.

 

Myron graduated from Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech School in 1975 in the metal fabrication field. After graduation he worked for H&C Sales and Custom Fab. He spent 28 years doing what he loved at Commercial Stainless, Inc. in Bloomsburg and eventually had to retire in 2017 due to his health.

 

Besides working, he loved being outside either working or grilling up something. He loved taking care of his horses through the years, especially his miniature horses.

 

Myron was preceded in death by, his parents, father-in-law, Rev. Paul Cope, and twin grandsons Jeremy and Timothy Schenck.

 

He is survived by his wife the former Polly A. Cope, with whom he would have celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on Sept. 11, 2022; three children, Stacy Anderson of Danville, Jaime Schenck and her husband Douglas of WV, and Chad Anderson and his wife Heather of Danville; five grandchildren, John Binder, Mark Binder, Rachel Schenck, Adelyn Anderson and William Anderson; two brothers, Kenneth Anderson and his wife Jody of Carlisle, and Karl Anderson and his wife Lori of Danville; mother-in-law Anna L. Cope of Winfield, and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.

 

A time of visitation will be held  Friday May 20, 2022, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home: 1133 Bloom Road, Danville. Private burial will take place at Straub’s Cemetery.
