Morris E. Gensel, age 81, 229 Scott Avenue, Bloomsburg, died at his home on Sunday, July 19, 2020 after an illness.

Born in Shickshinny on April 28, 1939, he was the son of the late Ezra M. and Adella (Kadtke) Gensel. He resided in the Bloomsburg/Catawissa area for many years.

Morris was last employed at ShoTex Logistics, Berwick and previously for many years at the former Lady Ester Lingerie Co., Berwick.  He loved to play bingo and attend carnivals and earlier in his life, roller skating.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father, John Thiemann and a step grandson, Tylar Shultz-Yuhas.

Morris is survived by his fiance’, Lorraine D. Shultz, who resided with him; two daughters: Michelle, wife of Lanny Miller, Berwick, Monica Gensel, Berwick; a son, Jason Gensel, and his wife Misty, Catawissa; a step-daughter: Denise Yuhas, Danville; a step-son, Thomas Shultz, Orangeville; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren;’ and two brothers: Robert Gensel, and his wife Kathy, Berwick and John Thiemann, Wilkes-Barre.

At Morris request, there will not be any funeral services or viewing.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
