Morgan L. Baker

Morgan L. (Fornwald) Baker, age 31, formerly of Bloomsburg died unexpectedly on Monday, August 17, 2020 in Johnstown.

Born at the Bloomsburg Hospital on March 24, 1989, she was the daughter of Rollin and Joy (Wingate) Fornwald of Bloomsburg.

Morgan was a 2007 graduate of Bloomsburg High School and received her B.A. degree from Bloomsburg University in 2012. She earned her Masters degree from Penn State University.

She was employed by the United States Department of Agriculture as a food inspector and was working in the Johnstown area at the time of her death.

Morgan enjoyed fishing, swimming and cross fit training. She loved animals and was involved with animal rescue groups.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving husband Sgt. First Class, Derrick W. Baker, who is serving with the U. S. Army and stationed in Junction City, Kansas. They observed their 9th wedding anniversary on May 13, 2020. Also surviving are her sister Ali Fornwald, Birmingham, Ala.; her brother Mitchell Fornwald, Bloomsburg and her husband’s parents, Leonard and Vicky Baker of Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Dr. Jennifer Parks-Snyder, pastor of Lightstreet United Methodist Church officiating. Viewing will be on Friday from 6-8 P. M.
