Miriam R. (Lovett) Cropf, age 97, of Danville, passed away Thursday February 29, 2024 at Vintage Knolls, where she had resided.
Born on June 6, 1926 in Danville, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Hannah (Evans) Lovett. A 1944 graduate of Danville High School, she was a lifelong resident of Danville.
She worked at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville as a financial counselor for 11 years prior to retiring in September 1972.
Miriam was a member of the former Trinity United Methodist Church in Danville. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 186, in Danville and was a past president of the American Cancer Society Montour Unit for two years.
Miriam was always an avid reader; you could have found her in the library even as a kid. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, church members and friends all over the world.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Cropf, on August 27, 1976, one nephew, and two nieces.
Surviving are multiple nieces and nephews and longtime friend, Karen (Harry) Lesher, of Danville.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday March 5, 2024 at 2 p.m. in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Mahoning Township, with Pastor David Layser, of Trinity Global Methodist in Danville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may go to Thomas Beaver Free Library, 317 Ferry St., Danville, PA 17821 or Trinity Global Methodist in Danville, 84 Lombard Ave., Danville, PA 17821.
The family would like to thank the ladies and staff at Vintage Knolls for all the care and love that they showed Miriam.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Rd., Danville.
