Michael G. Fortin

Michael G. Fortin, 81, formerly of McGuire Road, Bloomsburg passed away Sunday Morning, Feb. 22, 2026, at the Grandview Nursing & Rehabilitation in Danville.

Born in Lewiston, Maine, he was a son of the late Lewis J. and Rita M. (Bourgoin) Fortin. He graduated from high school in Albany, New York and also from an Albany College.

Michael was employed as a Network Engineer in North Carolina where he resided for much of his working life. He moved to Bloomsburg in 2016.

He served his country as a member of the U. S. Army.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a niece Jacqueline Harding, on December 11, 2021.

Michael is survived by a sister, Rachel I. Harding of Bloomsburg; a nephew Christopher Harding and his wife Camelia of Jacksonville, Florida; and a great-niece Michaela Harding of Jacksonville, Florida.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at Annville.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
