Mary E. (Granata) Rubenstein

Mary E. (Granata) Rubenstein, age 86 of Stony Brook Circle, Orangeville died at 9:29 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 2023 at the Glen Brook Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Berwick.

Born in Berwick on January 24, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Carrie (Telepan) Granata. She was a 1954 graduate of Berwick High School.

She was employed at the Berwick School District as a secretary for over 30 years up until the time of her retirement.

Mary was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomsburg for many years.

She enjoyed puzzles, shopping and eating out.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George H. Rubenstein, on October 24, 2010.

Mary is survived by a sister Joanne, wife of Paul Torsella of Berwick and a step-daughter, Sandra V. wife of Joseph L. Darlington of Bloomsburg.

Services are private. Interment will take place at New Rosemont Cemetery with her pastor, Rev. Mark F. Reisinger officiating.
