Mary Lou Reigle

Mary Lou (Fritz)  Reigle, age 86, 2945 White Birch Lane, Bloomsburg, died at her home at 2:35 p. m.  Wednesday, December 7, 2016, after an illness of three and a half years.

Born in Bloomsburg on October 4, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Guy Arthur and Laura G. (Stackhouse) Fritz. She resided in the Bloomsburg area her entire life and on White Birch Lane since 1952. She was a 1948 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.

May Lou had a very hearty laugh and was a real social butterfly, she went where she pleased and pleased where ever she went. She was a member of the Bloomsburg Fair Association and loved attending the Fair and also playing cards. She served as the tax assessor in Scott Township for over 25 years and also served on the Columbia County Board of Assistance for many years.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Reigle in July, 1952; by two brothers: Eli Fritz and Bruce Fritz; and by two sisters: Edna Fritz and Catherine Fritz.

Surviving is a daughter, April Ann Reigle-Shaeffer, Bloomsburg; a son, William H. Reigle, II, and his wife Regina, Catawissa; five grandchildren;  four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a sister, June, wife of William Bissett, Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with the Rev. John D. Kolenda, pastor of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church officiating. Interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville. Viewing on Saturday from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m.
