Mary J. (Bogart) Anderson, age 87, of 12 Hillside Road, Danville, died at Geisinger Hospice at Maria Hall, Danville, at 4:47 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019.

Born in Cooper Township on March 9, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Maynard M. and Louise A. (Parks) Bogart. She was a lifelong resident of Danville and a 1950 graduate of Danville High School.

Mary last worked as a secretary at Kennedy Van Saun, Danville and previously at the ASCS office, Danville.

She loved to cook and bake.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Anderson, on Nov. 16, 2010, twin great-grandsons, Timothy and Jeremy Schenck; a brother, Hiram Bogart; and a sister, Charlotte Barnhart.

Mary is survived by four sons: Karl L. Anderson, wife Lori, Danville, Myron H. Anderson, wife Polly A., Danville, Kenneth E. Anderson, wife Jody, Carlisle, Robert M. Anderson, Danville; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Charles A. Bogart, wife Betty, Mesa AZ; and three sisters: Isabell Halderman, Danville, Neva Klein, Danville, Corriena Morrall, Lansdale and a number of nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Ronald S. French, associate pastor of Lightstreet United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.

Friends may call at the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville on Sunday from 3 to 4:30 p. m.
