Martin H. Swank, age 83, of Berwick, passed away on Wednesday May 7, 2025 at his home.
Born on July 24, 1941 in Bloomsburg, he was the son of the late Charles H. and Ethel A. (Miller) Swank. A 1959 graduate of Benton High School, he spent his early life in the Benton area. He resided in Berwick since 1968.
Martin was employed by the Central Penn Sewing Machine Company in Bloomsburg for 37 years, retiring in 2010.
He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and 76ers. Martin enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, fishing and hunting. He especially loved fly fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Nancy J. Spencer, on April 24, 2014; grandson, Ryun Swank in 2017; and three brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are his two sons, Dr. Michael S. Swank, and his wife Loriann and Scott A. Swank, and his wife Lisa, all of York; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made in Waller Cemetery, Benton.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
