Marianne L. (Pursel) Onuschak, age 72, of 1915 W. Front St., Berwick, died peacefully at her home on Monday evening September 25, 2023 after an illness.
Born in Shenandoah on May 11, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Julia (Pursel) Hutton. She was a 1969 graduate of J.C. Cooper High School in Shenandoah.
Marianne was last employed by Wenco in Ringtown. Prior to that she had been employed as a nursing aide at Mountain City Nursing Home in Hazleton and Davis Manor in Mountaintop.
She enjoyed crocheting and gardening, especially flowers.
Surviving is her husband, Thomas J. Onuschak, with whom she celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary on September 19, 2023; three children: Stephen Stankavage, and his wife Kim, of Ewing, NJ, Tiffany, wife of Robert Kulpowicz, of Pattersonville, and Walter Stankavage, and his wife Amanda, of Berwick; two grandchildren, Alexander Stankavage and Lucy Stankavage; a brother, James Blake, of Wyoming; a sister, Kathleen Simmons, of Florida; a sister-in-law, Barbara Menter, of Neffsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
