Marianne Coratello

Marianne (Kriner) Coratello, aged 66, of Northumberland died peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, November 13, 2021.

Born in Bloomsburg on October 30, 1955, she was the daughter of Marjorie A. (Eck) Kriner of Almedia and the late Edward E. Kriner. She resided in Northumberland since 1995 and previously lived in Pine Grove.

Marianne was a 1973 graduate of Central Columbia High School and a 1977 graduate of East Stroudsburg State College.

Prior to her retirement she had been employed in human resources by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. In retirement she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially holidays. She enjoyed traveling, reading, crafting, reminiscing, attending the Bloomsburg Fair and following the Notre Dame football team.

She was preceded in death by her father Edward on January 9, 2013 and by a sister Cynthia A. Blackman in 2008.

She is survived by her mother Marjorie, a brother Stephen E. Kriner and his wife Gail of Titusville and three nieces: Ellie Kriner, New Orleans, La., Carly wife of Ryan Northcott, Carlton, Pa. and Michelle Blackman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron St., Bloomsburg on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:00 a. m. by Rev. Richard J. Mowery. Interment will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. The family will greet friends at the Church from 10-11 a. m.

Memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
