Margaret J. "Peggy" (McMahan) Telesky

Margaret J. “Peggy” (McMahan) Telesky, age 83, of Danville, went home to be with the Lord after being surrounded by family on Friday, May 16, 2025.

Born on March 13, 1942 in Mount Pleasant Township, she was the daughter of the late W. Paul McMahan and Josephine (Rambo) VanPelt.

Peggy was very active in her church and loved all who showed her kindness and compassion. She will be remembered by those who attended for her strong faith and love for God. She loved her grandchildren and both great grandchildren as that was her wish come true before she passed away.

She was a member of the 1960 graduating class of Bloomsburg High School. She retired from Nationwide Insurance Company in Danville.

She is survived by two daughters, Jill Deitrick, of Bloomsburg, and Leann Telesky, of Nanticoke. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Paige and Shawn Deitrick, of Bloomsburg, and Marcus Dalmas, of Nanticoke; brother, W. James McMahan, of Orangeville; two sisters, Kay Lassiter, of Charlotte, North Carolina and Judy Melito, of Berwick; and two great grandchildren, Ava Deitrick, of Bloomsburg and Aoife Dalmas, of Nanticoke.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ettamae Yodock and brother, Richard P. “Mick” McMahan.

Peggy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her and will always remain in their hearts.

To honor the wishes of the deceased and family, no services will be held.
