Lois J. Houseknecht

Lois J. Houseknecht, age 80, of 108 N. Locust Street, Mt. Carmel, died at 1:37 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016 in Shamokin Hospital.

Born in Forward Township, Luzerne County on November 8, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Walter G. and Threasa V. (Caldwell) Foltz.

She was a mother and homemaker.

Surviving are three children: Betty, wife of Robert Mensch; Ray Houseknecht and Lois Miller, all of Mt. Carmel; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
