Lisa Marie (Sweeney) Malencore

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lisa Marie (Sweeney) Malencore, of Berwick, who left us on June 5, 2025, at the age of 63 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born on January 12, 1962 at the Bloomsburg Hospital, a beloved daughter of the late Jack and Anna Mae (Andes) Sweeney.

Lisa was cherished for her remarkable kindness, unwavering strength, and a wonderful sense of humor that could bring a smile to anyone's face. Her greatest passions were her friends at Evan Owen's, her daughter and husband, and, of course- her loving cats, who all collectively brought her limitless joy. She also found immense happiness and peace in her beautiful gardens, tending to her beloved flowers more than anything.

Lisa's impact on those around her was profound and unforgettable. She was a beacon of love and laughter, surrounded by family and friends who adored her dearly. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Philip Malencore; devoted daughter, Gabrielle Malencore, of Berwick; stepson, Paul Malencore, of Fowlersville; her sisters, Sandy Martin, of Benton and Cindy Thomas, of Florida; her little brother, Jeff Sweeney and his wife Anne, of Muncy; and a loving multitude of nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date – please keep an eye out for details.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
