Leroy F. Force

Leroy F. Force, age 51, 505 Strawberry Ave., Bloomsburg, died unexpectedly at his home early Thursday, March 16, 2017.

Born on November 6, 1965 in Bloomsburg, he was a son of the late George R., Sr., and Helen (Folk) Force. He was a 1983 graduate of Millville High School. Leroy spent his early life in Greenwood Township and  later also resided in Benton before moving to Bloomsburg four years ago.

Leroy enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his sons and grandchildren. He served with the US Army in the 1980's.

Surviving are his sons: Brian D. Force, and his wife Amanda, Benton and Brandon L. Force, Millville; three grandchildren: Tristian, Bradyn and Akiera; nine  siblings: George R. Force, Jr., and his wife Alice; Pamela Moss; Darla K. Orzo, all of Benton; Jody L. Bowers, Nescopeck; Roxanne Benjamin, Berwick; Elizabeth A., wife of Harold Ray, Lawrenceville, Ga.; Christopher M. Force, Benton; Barbet Force, Pennsburg; Shannon Ann, wife of Harold Miller, Benton; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home, Benton, with the Rev. Robert K. Andrews, pastor of the Derr's  Christian Church officiating. Interment will be in St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Sugarloaf Township, with military honors by the combined VFW group.  Viewing from 1-2 p. m.
