Larry R. Long, 79, of West Main Street, Bloomsburg passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 while under the care of Compassus Hospice.

Born on March 1, 1947 in Bloomsburg, he was a son of the late Robert I. and Naomi (Huffard) Long. He was a lifelong resident of Bloomsburg and a 1966 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.

Robert proudly served his country as a member of the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He was employed by Kauneer, Corp. for 30 years, retiring in 2009.

He was a life member of the Valley of Bloomsburg Post 273, American Legion and was a Legion Rider. He was an avid motorcyclist for many years.

Surviving is his wife, the former Rose M. Carey, with whom he celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on December 3, 2025 and two sons: Steven Long of Oklahoma and Martin Long of Fairbanks, Alaska; a granddaughter, Kristina wife of Ryan Berry of Aledo, Texas; a great-granddaughter Aubrey Ross-Ray of Aledo, Texas and a sister Sharon McNinch of Bloomsburg. He is also survived by two nieces and a nephew.

At Larry’s request there will be no funeral services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
