Larry H. Hunsinger, age 74, of Perry Ave., Bloomsburg, passed away on Thursday July 10, 2025 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born on May 1, 1951 in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Henry E. and Elizabeth J. (Von Kielman) Hunsinger. He was a 1971 graduate of Columbia Montour Vocational Technical school. Larry resided in Berwick until 1972, when he moved to Bloomsburg.
He retired from Wise Foods in Berwick in 2018. Prior to that, he was employed as a welder by several companies including Strick Co. and CoMan Co. in the B.I.D.A. Complex in Berwick. In his earlier years, he also worked in security at the former Magee Carpet in Bloomsburg.
Larry was a member of the former Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Bloomsburg
He was an avid Raiders fan and Dale Earnhardt fan. He enjoyed visiting his sister in upstate New York and teasing his daughter about the Steelers. He also loved watching TV, playing cards, and going to Knoebels and various carnivals.
Surviving are his two children, Heather Ann Hunsinger and Philip M. Hunsinger, both of Bloomsburg; his former wife, Carol A. (McCormick) Hunsinger, of Bloomsburg; sister, Linda Connis, of New York; niece, Renee (Garrett) Kearney, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; fiancé, Vickie Welch, of Berwick and her son, Jared, and her daughter, Kaleena, and her children, Keaton, Madison “Maddy”, and Ava, who lovingly referred to him as “Pop Pop”. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Roxy, an Australian Shepherd.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
