Kent Franklin

Kent Franklin, 70, formerly of West Front Street, Berwick passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Grandview Nursing & Rehabilitation in Danville where he was a patient.

Born in Plains, Georgia on October 18, 1955, he was a son of the late Curtis and Clara (Schley) Franklin. He resided in New York City prior to moving to Berwick.

Kent was last employed by Autoneum, Corp. in Bloomsburg as a forklift operator. While residing in New York City, he was employed as a bus dispatcher.

Surviving is his former wife, DeEdra Raper of Danville; a daughter, Ilea Franklin of New York City; a step son, Charles Raper of Elysburg; a step daughter, Brisa Strachan of Mobile, Alabama; four step grandchildren: Xavier Franklin of Bloomsburg, Zuri Franklin of Bloomsburg, Destiny Strachan of Mobile, Alabama, Dontaque Strachan of Mobile, Alabama: two brothers: Brian Franklin and his wife Karyl, Schley Franklin and a sister, Valerie Franklin , all of New York City. There are also several nieces and nephews.

There will be no funeral services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville.
