Kathleen S. “Kathy” Kelleher

Kathleen S. “Kathy” Kelleher, 64, of Catawissa, PA, passed away on August 6, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 20, 1961.

Kathy earned her Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, from Lock Haven University and her graduate degree in Social Work from Marywood University. She dedicated her life to caring for others and worked as an oncology hospice social worker at Geisinger Knapper Clinic in Danville.

Kathy was a most selfless, caring and compassionate person. She gave of herself every day, both through her work and in her personal life. Her ability to love, comfort and care for others was extraordinary, and she touched countless lives.

She is survived by her mother, Sue of West Chester, PA; her brother, Kevin (Priscilla) of Ave Maria, FL; her sisters, Kris (Rob) of West Chester, PA, and Kolleen (Paul) of Downingtown, PA; and three nieces and three nephews, whom she adored. She was predeceased in death by her father, Jim.

Kathy once wrote, “My dying is merely part of my living.”

Those words beautifully reflect how Kathy lived – with courage, grace, purpose and an unwavering love for others. She will be missed beyond words and loved beyond measure.

Staying true to Kathy’s wishes, her service will be private and held with family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathy’s memory may be made to the Animal Resource Center, 80 Hogs Back Road, Millville, PA 17846, a no-kill organization dedicated to caring for homeless, abused and neglected animals.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Rd., Danville.
