Joyce E. (Kile)Wintersteen 78, of W. Sixth Street, Bloomsburg died on Sunday evening, Nov. 30, 2025 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born in Bloomsburg on March 18, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Stella (Young) Kile. A lifelong resident of Bloomsburg, she graduated from Bloomsburg High School in 1965.

Joyce was last employed by the former Bloomsburg Mills, Inc. and prior to that she was employed by the Bloomsburg School District as a teacher’s aide at the Memorial Elementary School.

She was a loving grandmother to her two grandchildren. She enjoyed camping and caring for her granddogs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James N. Wintersteen on July 6, 2005.

Joyce is survived by her two sons: Todd J. Wintersteen and his wife Beverly and David J. Wintersteen; her daughter in law, Eliza Wintersteen; a grandson, Taylor Wintersteen and a granddaughter Mia Wintersteen, all of Bloomsburg and a brother David Kile and his wife Arlene of Berwick.

At Joyce’s request, there will be no funeral services. Friends may remember Joyce and her love of animals by contributing to the Animal Rescue Center, 80 Hogs Back Road, Millville, PA 17846.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care f the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
