Joy (Dreisbach) Koban

Joy Koban, age 73, of South Centre Township, passed away on, May 23, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born in Bloomsburg on July 27, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Allan and Dolores (Berlin) Dreisbach. Joy was a 1969 graduate of Central Columbia High School. She enjoyed collecting mouse and gnome figurines. Her greatest joy however was shopping for her grandchildren and being their “Mimi”.

Surviving is her husband Nicholas “Nick” Koban , Jr., with whom she would have celebrated their 56 wedding anniversary on September 6, 2025. Joy is also survived by a son, Nicholas A. Koban and his wife Lori of Maine; a daughter, Jennifer L. Swisher and her husband John of South Williamsport; Four grandchildren, Crimson Swisher, Shaylynn Koban, Zak Koban and Sara Swisher; and a brother Ray Dreisbach and his wife Nancy of Benton.

Services are private.
