Joseph F. Mroz

Joseph F. Mroz, age 80, formerly of Shamokin, passed away on Saturday March 25, 2023 at Bloomsburg Care and Rehabilitation, where he was a resident since September 2020. 

Born in Coal Township on December 9, 1942, he was the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Grudzinski) Marose. A 1960 graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School, he was a lifelong resident of Coal Township. 

Joseph served in the U.S. Army from March 1964 to February 1967.

He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and crafting.

Surviving is his son, Joseph F. Mroz, II, and his wife Karen, of Elysburg; his grandson, Joseph R. Mroz, of Elysburg; his brother, Barry Mroz, of Coal Township; and his sister, Marsha Hosgood, of Coal Township. 

At Joseph’s request, there will be no services. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
