John C. “Skip” Fisher, age 81, of White Pine Ln., Bloomsburg, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born in Catawissa on May 20, 1940, he was the son of the late Reynolds M. and Susie S. (Miller) Fisher. John was a 1958 graduate of Southern Columbia Area High School. A previous resident of Catawissa, he resided in Main Township since 2006.
He was last employed by Miller’s Cleaning Service, Numidia, and previously by Milco Industries, Inc., Bloomsburg, for many years.
John served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the Valley of Bloomsburg American Legion Post 273 and enjoyed working outside and doing yard work.
John was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Paige N. Griffin, a brother, James Fisher, and a sister, Faye White.
He is survived by his wife, the former Debra K. Stackhouse, with whom he would have celebrated their 25th anniversary on May 23, 2022; daughter, Michele L., wife of Chad Griffin, of Middlebury Center; three step-children: Lisa K. Yohey, and her companion Jeremy, of Bloomsburg, Michelle L., wife of Todd Keyser, of Bloomsburg, and Matthew A. Gordner, of Bethlehem; six step-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sharyn Fisher, of Bloomsburg; and mother-in-law, Peg Stackhouse, of Millville.
Private services will be held. Interment will be made in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg
