JOHN C BRADY – 70, 722 Liberty St, Danville passed away Sunday August 3 ,2025 at Geisinger, Danville after a courageous 4-year battle with multiple cancers. Born June 1, 1955. The 4th of 8 siblings John was the son of the late Catherine and Charles H (Bud) Brady Jr. He was predeceased by a sister, Catherine Brady, niece Paula Brady, nephew Janaka Carl and brother-in-law Donald Hunter.
John was a creative, imaginative, talented spirit who traveled the world working in theater, production, & costume design. His work has been seen at The Sante Fe Opera, Yale University, Manhattan School of Music, Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey Circus, Henson ‘s Sesame Street & Fraggle Rock, and Off Broadway’s Little Shop of Horrors. He had toured with Nikolias Dance Theater both foreign and domestically and was involved in creation of Hansel & Gretel for the Lincoln Center. Retired as Production Manager from The Julliard School at Lincoln Center he had further Collaborations of his Brady/Haas Productions including: The International Special Olympics, The Statue of Liberty Bicentennial, the Annual Grammy Awards, President Clinton’s Birthday Gala at Radio City Music Hall, The Lion King Launch for Disney NY as well as industrial promotions for Maytag, American Express, Tavern on the Green and others. Locally he worked on Geisinger Medical Center Annual Galas; The Iron Heritage Festival Committee and worked closely with Danville Business Alliance and Danville Arts Council on their summer concert series and various downtown projects. He served as Danville High School’s Drama Coach for several seasons and developed Zing Production and opened the Booth Theater in Danville as a nonprofit collaborative organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes designed to promote creativity and experience in the performing and fine arts by encouraging and training local music and theater students & showcasing the many talents. The Booth Theater and Zansart with friend & former business partner Suzanne Walzer continues this legacy.
Known for his great panache, quick wit, humor and style and a profound dedication to inclusiveness and kindness he knew few strangers and many, many friends. His Irish ancestors afforded him an extraordinary singing voice & having heard his version of ‘Danny Boy’ you would never forget it.
John is survived by siblings: Bonnie (James) Trump; Charles H (Mick) Brady III (Deb); Mary Ann (Gerald) Remick; Margaret Hunter; William (Heather) Brady and Ted (Eileen) Brady). Nephews & nieces: William Cameron, Kelly Spickard, Charles H Brady IV, Amanda Ambrosio, Maura Pierce, Tulsi Crowell, Prahlad Remick, Gerald Remick, Robert Hunter, Wyatt Brady, Abigail Brady; several great nieces and nephews and special family/friends Carol Haas and Maureen Runyan. This Brady Bunch’s survivors include Aunts Joan and Joanne and many, many cousins and friends.
Special thanks for the extraordinary care at Geisinger Med/Surgery ICU and Hospice for the most compassionate & respectful end-of-life care and to Drs. Dan Dometita and Taesung Kwon for the genuineness of care that went above and beyond.

Funeral services will be private with a Public Life Celebration planned for Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 1-4PM at The Meadows Community Hall, Maria Joseph Community, 1707 Montour Blvd., Danville.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville.
