Born on August 1, 1936, in Danville,  a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Anna R. (Lechner) Linn. She was raised in the second ward of Danville on Mowery Street.  She was a 1956 graduate of Danville High School.

Joanne loved spending time with her family and friends, playing games, singing, visiting Knoebel's, doing puzzles, Sunday drives and other activities. Surviving are a brother, Robert J. Linn, and his wife Christine A.  and a sister, Kathleen D. Davis, all of Danville.
