JOANNE FETTERMAN

JoAnne Fetterman, age 69 of 2479 Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg died at 10:21 P.M. Saturday July 18, 2009 at the home of her niece Janice Adams, 208 Main St., Orangeville, she had been seriously ill for 1 month.

Born January 11, 1940 in Bloomsburg she was the daughter of the late Spurgeon W. & Violet O. (Hershman) Fetterman.
JoAnne spent her entire life living in Espy and graduated from Central Columbia High School in 1958. She was employed at the former U.S. Radium Plant, Lime Ridge for 29 years until her retirement in February, 2002.

Joanne was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Espy where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and would help with the church doughnut making.
She enjoyed crocheting, working in her garden, baking and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and participating in all of the family activities.
She was preceeded in death by a sister Shirley Marie Deitterick on September 9, 1994 and by a nephew George H. Deitterick, Jr. on July 24, 2004.
Surviving is her pet and companion "Socks" of 9 1/2 years, a sister Marian L. "Honey" DeCosta, Philadelphia, 10 nieces & nephews, 26 great nieces & nephews, 10 great great nieces & nephews & 4 great great great nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. in the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg with Pastor Susan O. Rogutski, officiating. Friends may call Tuesday 6:00-8:00 P.M. Burial will be in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.
