Joan A. (Schrader) Stauffer

Joan A. Stauffer, age 85, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Tuesday June 10, 2025 at the Emmanuel Center for Nursing in Danville.

Born on May 14, 1940 in Benton, she was the daughter of the late Willard P. and Edith I. (VanHorn) Schrader. She was a 1958 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.

Joan last worked in the kitchen at the Columbia County Child Development Center in Bloomsburg. Prior to that she worked at CSIU in Milton for 16 years and Kemler’s Restaurant in Bloomsburg.

Joan loved the beach, Bingo, and going to breakfast with her friends. She volunteered at Camp Emerge in Greenwood Township for several years. She especially adored her cat, Emily, who preceded her in death.

Surviving is her daughter, Tami Williams, and her husband Frank, of Mooresville, North Carolina; grandson, Kale Tunnessen, who was the love of her life, and his significant other, Jennifer Petersen; three great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Wren, and Miles Tunnessen, all of Verona, Wisconsin; brother, Franklin Schrader, of Bloomsburg; and her special friend, Robyn, of Millville.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Deb and Brenda for their care and support.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
