Jimmy Lee Carl, Sr.

Jimmy Lee Carl. Sr., age 80, 215 Millville Road, Bloomsburg, passed away peacefully at the home of his son, Jimmy, Jr. with his family by his side at 11:39 a. m. Tuesday, September 1, 2020.

Born in Bloomsburg on February 4, 1940, he was a son of the late Lewis and Helen (Hampton) Carl. He spent his life in the Bloomsburg area.
Jim was employed by Robert C. Young, Inc., Paving of Mifflinville for 39 years as an equipment operator, retiring in 2006.
He enjoyed fishing and spending time at his hunting cabin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Sarah M. Weaver, on June 22, 2011, and by four brothers: Warren Carl, Lewis Carl, Jr., Tharon Carl and Ambrose (Clyde) Carl.
Jim is survived by three sons: Danny Lee Carl, and his wife Holly, Catawissa, Jimmy Lee Carl, Jr., Bloomsbsurg, Jerry A. "Sam" Carl, Bloomsburg; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Freeman Caarl, and his wife Eleanor, Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with his niece, Patricia Millar, officiating. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1-2 p. m.

Uncle Jim ,the man the myth the legend ! He was one of a kind that is for sure and there be some people that would say thank goodness for that! always had a comeback for everything .He always tried to help anyone ! I will forever be grateful for him being there for us during our moms sickness he be there every morning and evening and sit on the porch with us.I enjoyed our talks laughs and our tears! I will miss him so much rest in peace uncle Jim till we meet again! love sis aka one half of the ugly sisters!

I always enjoyed visiting with jim and sarah he was a very good husband and father .I haven't seen him for awhile but him an d his family were always in my thoughts and prayers So sorry jimmy dan and sam and all the family he will be missed
