Jerry N. Seybert, age 91, formerly of Bloomsburg (Rupert) died early Sunday morning December 10, 2023 at the Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Danville.

Born in Bloomsburg on September 25, 1932, he was the son of the late Ray N. and Edith M. (Reese) Seybert. He was a lifelong resident of the Bloomsburg area and a 1950 graduate of Bloomsburg High School. He was also a graduate of the former Bloomsburg State Teachers College.

Jerry was employed by Milco Industries for many years and last the U.S. Postal Service until he retired. Following retirement, he worked part-time at Knoebels Amusement Park and the Bloomsburg Fair.

He was a member of the Rupert United Methodist Church until it closed.

Jerry’s favorite activity was purchasing daily lottery tickets.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, the former Margaret E. Wolfe, on December 28, 2017; two sisters, Esther Brown, and Dorothy Shuler; and three brothers, Robert J. Seybert, Kenneth E. Seybert, Raymond Rogers; and a half-sister, Lillian Gross.

Surviving is his son, Wayne E. Seybert, and his wife Joanne, of Danville; daughter, Debra Scott, and her companion Lee Rodgers, of Mechanicsburg; grandson, Michael S. Williams, and his companion Kristen, of Charlotte, NC; granddaughter, Stephanie, wife of Bryan Watson, of Newport; great-grandson, Logan Phillips, of Mechanicsburg; and a great-granddaughter, McKenzie Watson, of Newport.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
