Jeanne R. (Yocum) Schlager

Jeanne R. (Yocum) Schlager, 61, of Old Reading Road, Catawissa passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

Born on April 17, 1964 in Lancaster, she was a daughter of Sandra A. (Faust) Yocum with whom she resided and the late John O. Yocum. She was a 1982 graduate of Manheim Central High School in Lancaster where she was a proud baton twirler and state champion. She is remembered as an extraordinary mother, daughter, sister, friend and caregiver to her entire family.

Jeanne was employed as a Recruiter for Keystone Human Services for 14 years.

In her spare time, she enjoyed all things crafting, home decorating, spending time with her family, travel and her cat Owen.

Jeanne was preceded in death by two children, Sarah and Steven and her father.

Surviving in addition to her mother is her daughter Coleen wife of Hakeem Thomas of Manasses, Virginia, her sister Jennifer Schlager of Greensboro, North Carolina and her partner Stephen (Mike) Schlager of Bloomsburg.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Spring of 2026.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to PA Pets, 203 E. Fifth Street, Bloomsburg, Pa 17815. Jeanne made it her mission to give many stray cats a happy and healthy life. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
