Jean E. (Harris) Kahl

Jean E. (Harris) Kahl, age 96, of 6925 Hillside Drive, Bloomsburg, died early Monday morning on, January 2, 2023 at the Brookdale Senior Living Center where she resided for one month.

Born in Glen Lyon, Luzerne County on March 14, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Nellie E. (Hoffman) Harris. She was a 1944 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.

Jean was employed by the former Bloomsburg Mills, Inc., as a secretary for 28 years.

She served on the Board of the former Columbia County Chapter of the American Cancer Society for many years.

Jean enjoyed going out to eat with friends and was an animal lover, especially of cats.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis V. Kahl on October 15, 2011.

Surviving is a nephew, Thomas Campbell, Houston, Texas, a sister-in-law, Lois Sheetz, Richland, a niece Patti Brightbill, Lebanon, a nephew, Rick Troutman, Lebanon and two close friends, Dorothy Doebler, Mifflinville and Cathy McDaniels, Berwick.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg. Interment will following Elan Memorial Park,
