James A. Pepe

James A. Pepe, age 44, 485 W. Main St., Bloomsburg, died at 5:51 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2009, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he had been a patient for six days.

Born in New Jersey on December 7, 1964, he was a son of the late Angelo M. and Ruth (Chapman) Pepe. He resided in Bloomsburg for over 25 years, and previously lived in the Jonestown and Benton areas.

Jim graduated from Central Columbia High School in 1986.

He was employed as a dishwasher at the former Hotel Magee for 13 years and last at Aramark Food Service at Bloomsburg University, last working in 2006.

Jim was a member of the New Birth Ministries, Bloomsburg, and enjoyed participating in the activities held there. He also enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics, fishing, and bicycling.

Surviving Jim are his wife: the former Roberta C. LeVan, with whom he had just celebrated his third wedding anniversary on March 26, 2009; three brothers: Michael A. Pepe, wife Loretta, Danville; Robert J. Pepe, wife Susan, Benton; and Daniel M. Pepe, wife Sheila, Shickshinny; a sister: Rose Marie, wife of Michael Petroski, Lake Ariel; nine nephews and one niece.

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the New Birth Ministries, 203 W. Main St., Bloomsburg, with his pastor, Laura Casterline, officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m.

The family will provide flowers. Donations may be made to the New Birth Ministries, 203 W. Main St., Bloomsburg, PA 17815.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
