Irene S. (Popewczak) Levan

Irene S. (Popewczak) Levan, age 81, passed away on Sunday December 14, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born on November 12, 1944 in Bloomsburg, Columbia County, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Sophie (Grayeski) Popewczak.

Irene attended Bloomsburg High School and worked in the dietary department of the former Bloomsburg Healthcare Center.

She enjoyed playing bingo and adored her beloved dog Oreo.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two husbands, Kay Levan and Terry Hess.

Surviving are a son, Kenneth S. Levan and his companion Melody Zubler of Buckhorn; grandson, Colin Roeder and his wife Taylor of Bloomsburg; brother, Michael Popewczak and his wife Susan of Bloomsburg; and a sister, Margaret wife of Harry Palmer of Bloomsburg.
