Ina E. (Reeder) Shultz, age 83, formerly of Catawissa, died at 8:45 p. m. Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the Emmanuel Center For Nursing in Danville.

Born in Catawissa on November 2, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elma (Leiby) Reeder. She was lifelong resident of Catawissa and a 1954 graduate of Catawissa High School.

Ina was employed at the former Bon Ton Department Store in the Columbia Mall for 25 years and had also been employed at the Press Enterprise earlier.

She was a lifelong member of the Roaring Creek Valley United Methodist Church (former Mt. Zion). She also belonged to the Catawissa Garden Club. Ina also enjoyed traveling.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Gerald J. “Jerry” Shultz on February 19, 2012; two sisters: Rebecca Reeder and Carmel Hubicki and a brother, Earl Reeder.

Ina is survived by two sons: Timothy J. Shultz, and his wife Gloria, Brunswick, Maine and Thomas J. Shultz of Bloomsburg; a daughter, Heidi, wife of Jason Muller, New London; four grandchildren: Brenna Shultz, Eric Shultz, Alex Muller and Jackson Muller. She was the last of her immediate family.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. A public celebration of her life will take place in 2021.
