Harry N. Weiss, age 86, of Ridge Dr., Danville, passed away on Thursday December 11, 2025 at his home.
Born on June 28, 1939 in Mahoning Twp., Montour Co., he was the son of the late Morris and Helen (Seese) Weiss. He spent his lifetime in Montour County.
Harry served in the U.S. Army from September 1956 to August 1959.
He was employed by Danville State Hospital as a Psychiatric Aide before retiring in 1994.
Harry enjoyed hunting deer and shooting groundhogs.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Lois Mae Steffen, on August 2, 2001; daughter, Kathy Jo Weiss, on December 16, 2022; and step-sister, Marge Duncan.
Surviving are his two daughters, Jennifer Lee, wife of Robert O’Neil, of Bloomsburg and Lisa Ann, wife of David A. Riley, of Danville; six grandchildren: David Riley, Jr., Nathan Shultz, Amanda Wydra, Ashley Weiss, Amber Weiss, and Shelby Shultz; four great-grandchildren: Joseph Wydra, Olivia Wydra, Ryleigh Wydra, and Alie Weiss; three brothers, Morris Weiss, and his wife Shirley, of Quakertown, Thomas Weiss, and his wife Sherri, of Danville, and Denny Weiss, of Millville; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Monday December 15, 2025 at 11 a.m. in Columbia Hill Cemetery, West Hemlock Township, with Rev. Mary B. Schmotzer, of Shiloh United Church of Christ, Danville, officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Rd., Danville.
