Gloria Ann Burke
Gloria A. (Carvino) Burke, age 68, of Cherry Hill Road, Bloomsburg, passed away peacefully at her home with her daughter and family by her side at 9:11 a. m. Saturday, November 14, 2020 after a long fight against cancer. She constantly pushed herself forward so that she had more time with her family.
Born in Berwick on September 4, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Dominick and Eness (Basta) Carvino. She was a 1970 graduate of Berwick High School. She resided in Scott Township for a year and a half and previously resided in Berwick.
Gloria was last employed by ICT of Bloomsburg as a sales consultant.
The most important thing in her life was her family and she made this clear to everyone she knew. She spent much of her life caring for her sister and daughter, and would have it no other way. She loved her family fiercely and was so proud of her daughter and grandsons. She had a heart of gold and was one of the kindest women you would ever have the pleasure of getting to know.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Carvino of Bloomsburg and Daniel Carvino of New Orleans and a sister Lucy Carvino of Berwick.
Gloria is survived by her daughter, Julie A., wife of Brad Koch, with whom she resided; two grandsons: Dylan McDeavitt and Christopher McDeavitt, a step grandson, Liam Koch, all at home; her nephew Frank Carvino of Ohio and her sister in law, Alberta Carvino, Bloomsburg; as well as many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with Monsignor Robert E. Lawrence, pastor of St. Columba Catholic Church, officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a. m.
Sincere Sympathy to all. Oh! The fun we had working together in Dietary at the Berwick Hospital. I will always remember the fun we had in Vermont and other times we spent as friends. Your memories will be in the hearts of many.

Debbie you were an awesome lady. You loved your daughter and your grandchildren more than life itself. Growing up you were a second mother to me. So many of my firsts in life were shared with you because I was always at your house. Not one of my childhood memories doesn't have you in it. You were the second person I told when I found out I was pregnant with Breygan. You were always there and I loved spending time with you and eating your famous meatballs. The laughs we all shared will be something I never forget. RIP in heaven with Lucy and my brother. I am sure you guys are all together Until we meet again. Julie I am so sorry for your loss and wish I could make it up for the services.
