Ginger Lee (Naus) Powlus, age 84, of Ridge St., Bloomsburg (Almedia), died late Monday evening at the Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital.
Born in Berwick on January 23, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Eugene D. and Helen (Hartman) Naus. She resided in Almedia for the past 6 years and formerly lived in Berwick.
Ginger was employed as a nurse’s aide at the Hazleton Nursing Home for many years. She also delivered newspaper for the Press Enterprise for many years. She also worked at the former J.C. Penny at the Columbia Mall earlier in her life.
She was a member of the New Hope Church in Lime Ridge. She loved to grow flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert J. Mullins, on December 2, 2012; a son, William J. Hunter; and two sisters, Jean Machic and Kay Gyimesi.
Surviving is her husband, James M. Powlus, with whom she would have celebrated their 6th wedding anniversary on November 18, 2025; son, Robert E. Mullins, of Smithville; daughter, Christine L. Kressler, of Bloomsburg; stepson, Mercury Powlus, of Little Rock, Arkansas; three stepdaughters, Wendy Billig and Mary Powlus, both of Bloomsburg, and Ann, wife of Tony Holland, of Hanover; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Artman, of Orangeville and Juanita, wife of Jerry Murphy, of Berwick; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
