Frederick W. "Fred" Hummel

Frederick W. “Fred” Hummel, age 78, formerly of Salem Township passed away unexpectedly on Saturday evening, August 22, 2020 at Elmcroft of Berwick where he resided since December, 2018.

Born in Berwick on June 23, 1942, he was a son of the late Wilson and LaVere (Eisenhauer) Hummel. He was a lifelong resident of the Berwick area and a 1960 graduate of Berwick High School.

Fred was self employed as the owner of Hummel’s Country Kitchen in Salem Township, along with his wife Cora, for 20 years.

Fred is survived by three sisters: Iris Yalch, Sunbury, Kay Bower, Berwick and Donna Kichner, Davison, Michigan.

In keeping with Fred’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
