Francis Leo Talmadge, Jr.

Francis Leo Talmadge, Jr., age 87, of Pony Trail Dr., Bloomsburg, passed away on Monday April 20, 2026 at Glen Brook Nursing & Rehabilitation, Berwick.

Born on August 8, 1938 in Mt. Hope, NJ, he was the son of the late Francis Leo and Katherine (Gaydos) Talmadge. Francis was a 1957 graduate of Morris Hills High School. He resided in Buckhorn for the past three years and had previously resided in Rockaway, NY.

Francis served his country by serving in the U.S Army.

Francis was employed by the U.S. Postal Service from 1961-2000 while serving as a vehicle operations and maintenance assistant when he retired. He also worked part-time for his brother in sales at the Dover Sports Center in Dover, NJ for many years. 

He is survived by his wife, the former Patricia J. McNally, with whom he celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on November 11, 2025; three daughters: Katherine, wife of Jeffrey Gueiss, of Bloomsburg, Alicia, wife of Christopher DelSasso, of Ringwood, NJ, and Melissa, wife of Christopher Johnson, of Myersville, MD; six grandchildren; and three siblings: Katherine Nechay, of Wharton, NJ, William Talmadge, and his wife Ellen, of Flanders, NJ, and Barbara, wife of John Lepore, of Morris Plains, NJ.

Funeral services and interment will be held in New Jersey.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
