Florence H. (Ralston) Williams, age 72, of 423 E. Third St., Bloomsburg died at 2:30 a. m. Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she was a patient.
Born in Bloomsburg on September 24, 1947, she was a daughter of the late John and Adeline (Waters) Ralston. A lifelong resident of Bloomsburg, she graduated from Bloomsburg High School in 1965.
Florence was last employed as a school van driver for Lone Derr and previously drove for K-Cab Co. Formerly she worked as a cook and later owned a restaurant near Sweet Valley. She was a hairdresser in her early years.
She loved to cook and sew and was especially fond of animals, particularly dogs and birds.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, Richard D. “Dick” Rees, on October 14, 2019.
Surviving are her son, John E. Baker, Bloomsburg; two step-daughters: Donna, wife of Scott Young, Harleysville and Amy, wife of Dean Kirkpatrick, Wapwallopen; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg. Friends may call from 1-2 p. m..
