Evelyn A. Burnside

Evelyn Ann Burnside, age 65, of 221 Fremont St., West Pittston, passed away on September 14, 2018 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born in Meshoppen, PA on March 27, 1953, to James M. and Irene (Tibbett) Deats.

Evelyn worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Before retiring, she worked at the Allied Services Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Scranton.

She was preceded in death by her father, James M. Deats, and her husband,  Edward J. Burnside.

Evelyn  is survived by  her mother, Irene (Tibbett) Deats; daughter, Christine Hemminger, wife Kami, Nanticoke; three sons: Edward Burnside, Colorado; James Burnside, wife Florence, Benton; Michael Burnside, wife Rachel, Laceyville; daughter, Brenda Burnside, Florida; three grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a brother, John Deats, New York.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, PA.
