Eva M. Goss
Eva M. (Knouse) Goss, age 85, 3335 Goss Road, Sweet Valley, died at 6:25 p. m. Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the Mercy Center, Dallas, where she was a patient for four days. She had been in failing health for the past year.
Born in Sugarloaf Township, Columbia County on November 26, 1930, she was daughter of the late Charles F. and Delsey M. (Stout) Knouse. She was a graduate of the former Sugarloaf School and went on to graduate from Benton High School in 1949. She resided in Fairmount Township, Luzerne County for over 60 years.
Eva was a member of the Church of Christ, Sweet Valley. She enjoyed gardening and attending yard sales.
Surviving is her husband, Floyd L. Goss with whom she celebrated her 65th wedding anniversary on July 5, 2016; five children: Floyd L. Goss, Jr., and his wife Wanda, Stroudsburg; Joann, wife of Rich Yanchick, Swoyersville; Kenneth Goss, and his wife Sheryl, Sweet Valley; Diane, wife of Wayne German, Wilkes-Barre; Lonnie Goss, Sweet Valley; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Harriet Hess, a guest at the Bonham Nursing Center.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Benton, with the Rev. Raymond D. Purdy, pastor of the Living Word Baptist Church, Fairmount Township officiating. Interment in Bethel Hill Cemetery, Fairmount Township. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10-11 a. m.
