Elmer C. Meade, Jr.

Elmer C. Meade, Jr.,  age 84, of Bloomsburg died at 4:15 a. m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Geisinger Bloomsburg Health Care Center where he resided since November, 2007.

Born in Shickshinny on December 7, 1932, he was a son of the late Elmer and Thelma (Drumheller) Meade. He resided in Bloomsburg for much of his life and was employed as a custodian at the former Bloomsburg Hospital for more than 30 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded  in death by two brothers: Robert Meade and Howard Meade.

Elmer is survived by a brother, Charles M. Meade, Berwick; one niece and three nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg with the Rev. Gordon E. Smith, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, Espy, officiating. Interment in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Berwick. Friends may call  on Monday from 1-2 p. m.
