Edward J. Kinn, III, age 74, of 1851 Fifth St. Hollow Rd., Bloomsburg, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at the Gardens at Orangeville.

Born on November 28, 1946 in Hopkinsville, KY, he was the son of the late Edward John and Mildred (Polakowski) Kinn. Edward was a 1967 graduate of Bloomsburg High School and resided in the Bloomsburg/Catawissa area for most of his life.

Edward served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Edward was a mechanic for 40 years. Retiring in 2008, Edward last worked as a mechanic at Alexander Motors in Bloomsburg. He previously worked at Berwick Industries, Force’s Garage and the former Hartzell Chevrolet-Cadillac.

Edward was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Espy. He was a life member of the Ft. McClure VFW Post 804 in Bloomsburg and the Valley of Bloomsburg American Legion Post 273. He was also a life member of multiple fire companies including: Buckhorn Community Fire Co., Bloomsburg Fire Department, Espy Fire Co., and Lime Ridge Fire Co.

A social butterfly, he enjoyed talking to people and he got along with everybody.  

Edward is survived by his wife, Linda (Moser) Kinn, with whom he celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on July 25, 2021; a son, Edward J. Kinn, and his wife Melissa, of Mt. Carmel; four grandchildren: Brandon James Kinn, of Mt. Carmel; Chelsea, wife of Justin Slotterback, of Mt. Carmel, Sabrina, wife of Joseph Schwartz, of Kulpmont, and Kolby Dillon, who is serving with the U.S Air Force and is currently stationed in Nevada, and his fiancé, Precious; four great-grandchildren: J.J., Khloe, Livia, and newborn Emmett; and two sisters: Issy Bowman, of Hummelstown and Mari, wife of Lee Mensinger, of Mifflinville.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 11 am in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy, with Pastor Kelly Kocher Ross, of Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating. Military honors will be performed by the combined VFW and American Legion Honor Guard.

Edward’s family would like to thank aides, Barb and Maria, and nurses, Susan and Donna, who provided Edward with the utmost loving care.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
