Edward "Duddley" Evans

Edward "Duddley" Evans, age 56, of Scranton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Philadelphia on June 3, 1964, he was the son of the late Robert and Rose Marie (Robinson) Evans.

He was loved by his family and will be deeply missed, especially by his favorite cousin, Frank Sykes.

Duddley's wife, Monique Evans, who was in the hospital, also passed away the same day. 

Interment will be made at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Rd., Danville.

My name is Dianne nesbitt my husband and I were going shopping at redness in Scranton I saw ed on his scotter waiting for the bus. I asked him if he needed a ride he said he was waiting for the bus.i said please wait we will give u a ride home .he said thank you and bless u and praise the lord. I new we were going to be fast friends. My husband and I spent quite a bit of time with ed and talk a lot on the phone. He never asked for anything . but I knew I wanted to help him brighten up his place we did and I remember his smile . and talked a lot about our lives . I am broken hearted he was a very special friend. I kept calling leaving messages but not to here back . I was getting worried . my husband said hell call . but never did today I found out. Its 1:28am and IM writing this because he was a special person who left a lovely imprint on our lives. If anyone will call me 570 604 7441 ask for Dianne . I would be greatful. To contribute something in honor of ed or to help in other ways. My husband and I both loved and cared for ed he was especially a good friend to me. IM sorry his wife passed too . the same day noless. He tailed about her. I didn't know her but he made me feel like I did. He called me the day he left to go to his wife that was sick. I said be careful we will see u when u get back. We were fast friends not knowing but a couple of months but it felt like a life time to us so sorry I dont have more good times that I can share nut our laughs together the love of certain music . food he cooked and collard greens that we both loved. I will miss him for ever. If u go on Facebook I wrote about ed in hopes someone would contact me. He was athe best friend in such a short time but the laughter we shared and the prayers we shared. And future get together with my husband and I . ill always remember the greeting on the phone hed say praise the the praise the lord how are u miss dianne. RIP MY DEAR FRIEND EDWARD TIL WE MEET AGAIN.MY CONDOLANCES TO HIS FAMILY. HE SAID HE WANTED TO GO SEE HOS NIECE I THINK FOR THANKSGIVING BUT NEVER MADE IT. IM SAYING HELLO TO U. BLESS U ALL.
