Her early life was spent in Lightstreet and after her marriage to Donald “Pete” Kessler on September 6, 1947 she resided in Millville for 52 years. Following his death on July 30, 1999, she moved to Bloomsburg in 2007 where she remained until her death. She attended the Scott High School in Espy.

Edna was employed at the former Bloomsburg Mills, the U. S. Radium plant, and retired from Safety Light in Almedia in 1992.

While a resident of Millville, she was a member of the Millville Christian Church.

Edna loved horses and accompanied her husband to horse pulls, and later joined him on the golf course playing golf and camping at Mill Race Golf Course in Benton. She loved to crochet, making doilies, and gifting them to friends and family. One of the most important things in her life was spending time with her family whom she loved dearly.
