Earl E. Busch, age 87, of 1116 Poplar Street, Kulpmont died late Friday evening, February17, 2023 at Serenity Gardens Assisted Living in Kulpmont.

Born in Wilkes Barre on December 28, 1935, he was a son of the late John A. and May Jane (Reese) Busch. He resided in Bloomsburg for much of his life and in Kulpmont for the past 15 years.

Earl was employed by the former Columbia Silk Mill, Bloomsburg, in construction, Boyer’s IGA in Mt. Carmel and last at Boscov’s in Lebanon, commuting there from Kulpmont daily.

He was a member of the Laborer’s International Union of N. A.; Kulpmont American Legion; Kulpmont VFW; West End Fire Assn.; and the Kulpmont Sportsman’s Association. Earl enjoyed traveling to casinos and hanging out with friends, especially Paul and Pat Kross.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death two wives: Jean Baylor on July 2, 1987 and Judith Neidig on January 7, 2013; by three sisters: Margaret Cartwright, Jean M. Baker, Ethel Busch and by five brothers: Robert B. Busch, Kenneth J. Busch, Leo A. Busch, Wilbert J. Busch, Sr., and Bernard J. Busch.

Earl is survived by two daughters: Linda J. Austin and Tammy S. Bankes, and a son, Scott A. Busch, all of Bloomsburg; three step children: Pam, wife of Tom Berns, Elysburg, Roger Russin  and his wife Linda, Lancaster, Kim, wife of Denny Smith, Lebanon; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren  and numerous nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family.

At his request there will not be any funeral services or viewing.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
